What is AraFlesh®?
Pronounced “Ah-rah flesh”. Ara means flesh or skin in Yoruba; the language and tribe of people located in southwestern Nigeria and Benin.
I created AraFlesh® to provide women with the option to have nude breast tape that closely resembles their skin tone. In 2018, when I gave birth to my daughter, I knew that I wanted to breastfeed her for a minimum of 1 year to ensure she was given all the nutrients she needed. It was never a concern of mine how my breast would be impacted. It wasn’t until I wanted to wear some of my pre-pregnancy clothes like tank and tube tops that I realized my breast may never restore itself. I would wear breast cups but found it so annoying that I could only find pink nude, white, or black as my options. My annoyance and desire to have a nude shade reflective of my skin tone birthed AraFlesh®.
